We are currently seeking an IT Security Analyst II . This position is located in Columbus, Ohio .
This position is in the Security Operations Center within Battelle’s Corporate Information Security (CIS) group. The selected applicant will under general supervision to evaluate, design, develop, maintain, and support security protection technologies for company information and network systems/applications.
Designs, implements, tests, documents and/or maintains SEIM, Log Management, Vulnerability Scanner and other security systems
Provide moderately complex day to day analysis and support for security monitoring, troubleshooting, configuring, reporting, implementing, installing, and upgrading Battelle’s security infrastructure
Provide moderately complex security expertise, consulting, and support to staff members.
Support identity and access management infrastructure
Provide tactical support of the security watch operations, incident detection, and response to assist in the identification and resolution of potential security vulnerabilities and suspicious activities
Contribute to security assessments and red/purple team activities
Respond and see through to resolution cyber security incidents
Develop, document, and continuously improve procedures
Works as part of a team to keep Battelle’s infrastructure fully secure and operational
Complete assigned tasks within time, cost, and scope constraints
Provide on-call support during off hours
Maintains industry facing awareness and manages a self-directed professional improvement program for staff. Monitors progress against individually selected goals, assists with goal selection.
THE FOLLOWING IS REQUIRED
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems and two years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field
Experience with cyber security tools
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a required government security clearance
THE FOLLOWING IS DESIRED
Professional certification e.g. CISSP, SANS GIAC, CEH
Familiarity with the Sans incident response model
Existing experience with major responsibilities of the position
