Primary Function

We are currently seeking a mid-level Software Quality Assurance Specialist . This position is located in Columbus, OH.

The Advanced Analytics Resource Group specializes in developing advanced Information Technology and Data Management solutions for our government and commercial clients.

Major Responsibilities

This individual will be expected to demonstrate a high motivation for success, a detail-oriented mindset, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams with other highly motivated individuals. The candidate is expected to assume the following primary job responsibilities:

  • Review requirements for verifiability

  • Develop estimates for quality assurance effort from software scope statements

  • Develop test plans, test suites, and test cases from requirements

  • Automate testing where effective

  • Execute test suites and document results

  • Consistently follow software development life cycle practices

  • Communicate on a regular basis with project leaders and team members including mathematicians, statisticians, and computer scientists

  • Continued job performance improvement through on-the-job training and outside study

  • Minimal domestic travel


  • US Citizenship required. Candidates must be able to obtain Security clearances as required by client.

  • Master’s Degree and 0-2 years of related experience.

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2 – 5 years of related experience.

  • Demonstrated competency in software quality assurance

  • Demonstrated competency in software quality assurance estimating

  • Demonstrated competency in developing effective test plans, test suites and test cases based on requirements

  • Demonstrated competency in the software development life cycle and agile methodologies

  • Demonstrated experience with automated testing tools such as Cucumber, Selenium, Katalon, and/or SoapUI

  • Demonstrated competency in executing user interface centered test suites and test cases and documenting results

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to meet competing deadlines successfully


  • Experience with continuous integration tools such as

  • Experience with xUnit tools

  • Strong educational or work-related experience in mathematics or statistics

  • Experience testing mathematical, statistical, scientific, or health care related applications

  • Experience participating in the requirements gathering process
