We are currently seeking a Senior Capture Manager . This position is located in the Washington, DC metro area.
Responsible for leading the capture of new business opportunities related to Battelle National Security business growth areas and successfully managing capture teams through relevant opportunity qualification, capture and solution tasks. The Senior National Security Capture Manager will have complete responsibility, accountability, and authority for executing all relevant aspects of the Battelle capture process and will be responsible for the opportunity win. This individual shall work collaboratively with senior management, business unit, technical leads, business development, operational and proposal development personnel to advance opportunities in a disciplined manner through all respective capture, solution and proposal development phases, steps, and gate reviews. The Senior National Security Capture Manager will also be expected to provide ample support for post submission follow-up tasks to ensure successful responses to Government questions, protest activities, operational transition and project launch.
Focused on conducting efforts to shape and secure contracts from DoD/Government organizations. Lead major ($100M+) capture efforts and implement disciplined processes and approaches for collection, interpretation and dissemination of information to develop and make informed recommendations on identified captures.
Plan and implement proven approaches for collecting, interpreting, and disseminating information on identified clients and provide business and competitive intelligence to, and work closely with applicable Business Development, Technical Leads and Business Unit staff on assigned capture opportunities.
Assist in development of successful pricing strategies, identifying risks and interpreting solicitation requirements. Recommends to and collaborates with the appropriate Battelle business unit and executive leaders on the approval of all pricing strategies and all final proposals for submission to clients. Negotiates complex financial arrangements and participates in other facets of contract negotiations.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including other Busines Development and capture team members, Client Executives, Proposal Managers and Battelle Contract Research organization, including executives and program management teams to ensure effective, efficient and integrated implementation of capture strategies.
Assemble appropriate Capture Team personnel, manage the direction of the core capture team, and manage the assigned marketing and bid & proposal budgets.
Form winning industry teams based on customer and domain knowledge, analysis of performance requirements, key personnel and past performance requirements, and other considerations that may impact the Battelle win probability, such as small business utilization.
Ensure timely development and delivery of compliant, responsive, distinctive and integrated solutions and technical/management approaches in all of the proposal volumes.
Responsible for the development of proposal solutions that offer competitive distinction and executable approaches correlated with the Price-To-Win (PTW) strategy.
The Following is Required to be Considered for this Position:
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Technical field with a minimum of 15 years of experience demonstrating progressive responsibility in all phases of business development from opportunity validation to capture
Proven ability to successfully manage complex business captures valued at $100M or larger in and ability to translate DoD mission needs into Battelle system/service solutions while providing advance guidance for complex missions crossing multiple agencies.
Strong organizational skills and ability to communicate with various levels within the organization. Experience in DOD PPBE and JCIDS Processes desired, not required.
Masters Degree in Business Administraion or Technical Field is desired but not required.
Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance. Current active clearance preferred.
