This position applies journeyman/mid-level technical and operational protection support knowledge and experience to support the development, implementation, and/or operations of All Hazards/full spectrum Protection Programs.; These programs include Antiterrorism, Physical Security, Law Enforcement Critical Infrastructure Protection, Training and Readiness, Emergency Management, Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction, and CBRNE Defense issues related to client goals, mission and critical assets.; This position works under the direction and supervision of the manager with latitude for independent action and/or decision.
Supports the development, implementation, and/or operations of client all Hazard protection programs or specified components.
Conducts requirements analysis and capability assessments
Develops, initiates, and/or completes research tasks in support of operational defense protection projects/tasks.
Assists in policy and/or program development through independent tasks and/or project assignments.
May conduct protection-related planning, to include but not limited to strategic plans, operations plans, emergency management, and technology roadmaps in support of the client and with oversight by senior technical personnel.
May conduct coordination with Federal, State, Tribal, Regional, Local, Military Services, International, and/or Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) with guidance from senior technical personnel in support of clients.
May conduct and/or develop report(s) of Hazard threat, vulnerability, consequence, and/or response capability assessments with guidance from senior technical personnel.
May assist in the development, review, and conduct analysis of readiness evaluation tasks, conditions, standards, measures, and/or criteria.
May assist in the development of training, exercise, and/or readiness evaluation tasks.
May conduct training, exercise, and/or readiness evaluation tasks within the limits of their own training, certification, and expertise.
May conduct and/or support protection operational assessments in support of client, to include but not limited to military operations, force protection, installation protection, homeland security, and anti-terrorism activities.
May provide guidance on the selection, employment, maintenance, sustainment, issue, and/or use of protection-related equipment with the appropriate personal experience and certification.
Introduction to Project Management - May provide contract cost, schedule, and performance under the direction of senior program manager in addition to providing technical leadership on projects.; May manage tasks in a matrixed organization which require coordination of project team members. This includes task plan development and the implementation and management of task cost, schedule and performance, and meeting client expectations.
Requires a Bachelors Degree in a related field or equivalent experience and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a related field, to include, but not limited to, Disaster Preparedness/Management, Crisis Management, Emergency/Continuity Planning, and/or Operations Center management/operations.;
Must demonstrate intermediate writing, speaking, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Must be willing to travel inside of the United States and foreign travel overseas and in North America.
Proficient knowledge and experience required of Microsoft Office products (MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint), Microsoft Internet Explorer, and Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Working knowledge of MS Visio and MS Project highly preferred.
Must be a US. Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance.
