We are currently seeking an Blast Research Purchasing Specialist/Administrative Assistant to support Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) efforts in Airfield Protection, Installation Resiliency, and Blast (APIRB). This position is located on-site at Tyndall Air Force Base, near Panama City, FL. The successful candidate will support APIRB RDT&E related to USAF Civil Engineering requirements, and existing and emerging technical gaps.
Active areas of research include, but are not limited to:
1) Protective Concepts and Systems Against Forced Entry
2) Blast and Ballistic Protection Systems Evaluation
3) Mitigation of Internal Blast Effects
4) Protective Systems for Infrastructure and Asset Survivability Against Cased Munitions
5) Blast and Ballistic Protection for Guided Munitions
6) Airbase Camouflage, Concealment, and Deception Technology Development
7) Resiliency Technology Development
High School or diploma with 5 years (minimum) experience
Knowledge of Air Force Civil Engineering is preferred
Knowledge of policies, principles, concepts, guidance, procedures, techniques, and methodologies pertaining to federal or Air Force financial management
In- depth knowledge of logistics support to Federal organizations
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
The candidate must demonstrate experience in preparation of reports and documentation consistent with DoD regulations; contacts staff to gather information and prepare reports to ensure that deadlines are met.
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance
